In December I had to go to the dentist, so I went to drop off Ivy at Lanette's house and on the way we saw tons of birds. Well when we got to Lanette's, she was taking pictures so I had her send them to me. I can't believe how many birds there were! I've never seen so many birds in one place in my life. It was nuts. And if any of you are wondering (probably no one), I didn't have any cavities and they said you can tell I take care of my teeth :) Yippee for me! And it was the best dentist visit I'd ever had because they were all so nice and the lady that cleaned my teeth did a nice job and didn't even leave me sore!

Memory Monday #2 just a little late
So I really meant to post yesterday, but got sidetracked reading everyone else's blogs :) Above is Ivy's new hair do. I was just messing around with her hair Saturday afternoon because she got all sweaty from sleeping in her snowsuit and this is what happened. Chris liked it and said we should take her like that to Church, so we did with a little bow, lol. Her dress got all bunched up and looks a little funny, but her smile melts my heart. She's such a sweety when she wants to be. Most of the time I guess. She has been a little crankier lately because I think she's teething and who wouldn't be? I have her wear pants under her dresses so she will stay warm at Church. This reminds me of my mission and wearing pants under my skirts to stay warm. Anyway, Ivy's started doing this little head movement that seems like she's dancing or head banging and she was doing it in Primary when it was singing time. Our all girl class were getting quite the kick out of it and were all giggling. It made Chris and I smile too. I hope we were disrupting too much. Well, make it a great day!

Memory Monday Numero 1

Well, here goes my attempt at blogging more this year :) My Memory Monday for today is just things that I want to remember about Ivy. Everyone tells me what a beautiful girl she is, how nice her eyebrows are, that she is very strong, and also that she is very alert. I totally agree with them, but I am a little biased, what can I say? She has learned to roll over from her back to her belly and she sort of knows how to get back, but usually refuses to figure it out and screams till someone will either roll her back or pick her up. She's happy on her belly for a bit, especially if someone is cheering her on. She gets really excited when you cheer her on. She loves the highchair my parents bought her for Christmas and usually sits in it while I'm cooking or working on the computer so she can see what's going on. She was waking up happy until the last couple of days and now I'm not sure if she's teething or just being grumpy, but I love it when she wakes up with a smile and is excited to see me when I go in to get her. She loves her Winnie the Pooh stuffed bear and will talk to it if I'm a little slow in getting her out of her crib. She's starting to love bath time which is good because like a lot of babies her diapers tend to explode on occasion. She loves primary, seeing all the little kids and singing the primary songs. Chris and I teach the 9 year old class.

Happy New Year!
Wow, I knew it had been a while since I last blogged, but I didn't realize just how long!!! One of my New Year's goals is to be a better blogger and my plan is to start a memory Monday and a wordless Wednesday. Maybe by doing these two simple days I will be inspired to post a little more...I guess we'll see :) Anyway, I hope that everyone has had a wonderful Christmas season and that this New Year brings you much happiness. Here's a little picture for your viewing pleasure.
I'd also like to start out the year mentioning a few things I'm thankful for. First of all I'm thankful for my knowledge of my Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ and my membership in His Church. Second, for my Husband because he loves me and has a good job that he loves and that allows me to stay home with Ivy. Third, for my daughter and her beautiful smile and sweetness that brightens my day. She's so happy when she gets up in the morning, it makes me happy to get up! I also realized that I never posted her 4 month stats, so here you go. 14lbs 14 oz (50th percentile) and 26 1/2 in (90th percentile, she gets her height from her dad). I can't believe how fast she's growing! Anyway, I'm also thankful for my family including my extended family, my inlaws, great friends, and a work from home/make my own hours job. These are just a few things but I've been thinking about what I'm thankful for and thought I'd mention these. Have a wonderful day!
