Flexibility
So pregnancy is totally limiting my range of motion these days. I will be so excited to be able to move when this is over, but for now, I just watch other people do it. Check out this CRAZY video of this gymnast in the 1972 Olympics! I couldn't ever move like that and don't think I'd want to, but it sure is fun to watch!

Kitty Pictures
I wish that her attitude came through better in pictures. She's so funny. The first picture she's a little curious about what's going on and why there's a flashing light. The middle picture makes her look sleepy or something but I like to think that this face means something like, "What in the heck are you doing and why are you involving me?" Then the last picture is her turning around saying, "I don't want any part of whatever it is..." She totally cracks us up. I'm hoping that someday we can get a video of her when she gets CRAZY and runs wild through the house (especially when Chris is chasing her) and then all of a sudden flops on the ground. Or when she arches her back and dances around for no reason at all except that you walked in the room. I also love that she attacks lint balls like they're going to take over the house if she doesn't teach it what's what (and usually ends up eating them). This last week she's been very entertaining!

Apostle Song Video
I keep getting e-mails with this and I think it's cute and a little silly. It made me smile so I thought I'd share it with you all. Enjoy!

Finally, a finished project!
I'm feeling pretty great right now, I forgot what a nice feeling I get when I accomplish something that I set out to do (besides cleaning or cooking). So hopefully, this will motivate me to get with it and finish up some other things before our little one arrives...three months to go :)

A random question...
What do you do to save money? I'm just curious because I've been reading The Tightwade Gazette by Amy Dacyczyn. Don't worry, I'm not turning into a frugal nazi or anything, I'm just wondering if there are a few simple things I can do to reduce the amount of money we spend in a month/year. Some of the things I do include meal planning, shopping sales and using coupons, borrow books or movies from the library instead of renting or buying, eat less meat, make home-made pizza instead of deliveries or take out, and making gift cards at home. Some things I would like to do in the future are learning to mend/sew clothing and having a garden and doing home canning/freezing. So let me know what you and your family does to save a few extra dollars here and there.

Tatting
Most of my projects have been small because it takes some practice to get the tension right and such. I hope to pursue some larger projects later on, but we'll see how my patience holds out. I have some other projects to finish before I start any others...from crochet to embroidery and cross stitch as well as organizing my photos. Forget scrapbooking, it's way too time consuming and I don't have the courage. Does anyone know how to knit? I'd love to learn that too. What do they call this, jack of all trades, master of none? I think that's what I am.
Slacking
Hi all! So I've totally been slacking on this whole blogging thing lately, but thoroughly enjoy reading all of your posts. I'll just give you a quick run down of what's been going on around here so you don't have to listen to all the boring details.
1. The Terry Fator concert was amazing! He was absolutely hilarious and I'm sooo glad that we went! He sang by himself as well as with the "mannequin americans" (as he called them) and interacted with the audience which was super fun. The only down side of the whole night was the lady behind us who I knew was trouble from the moment she sat on my head before the show even started and didn't even notice. She kept sighing through the whole thing and making weird comments at weird times. She also would yell out when the whole theater was quiet. People like that sure keep life interesting, but sometimes they drive me crazy!
2. As I've mentioned before, I'm a pack rat who is trying to de-clutter my house. I'm not sure if this has been brought on by the fact that I'm pregnant and nesting or the fact that we would like to buy a house sometime in the next 6 months. Anyway, I think I need to get out more because I feel like that's all I do all day is go through this or that and throw things away. I'm really hoping for some really nice weather so that I can head outside and tend to the flowerbeds because I don't feel like planting a garden this year since I won't really be wanting to get out there later on. Although we do have onions that have come up because I thought they died last year and I didn't bother to pull them up, so they sprouted up this year...it was quite the surprise.
3. We've decided to take a one time birthing class that will be for 6 hours on a Sat. I'm a little nervous about it because it's so long, but I'm guessing that they will know that I can't sit for that long because it's at the maternity ward of the hospital where the delivery will be taking place. I'm excited for a tour of the place and to see what they have to say. This is definitely an adventure of a lifetime.
4. My cat is driving me CRAZY!!!! She will come sit with me and meow and meow at me for no apparent reason at all. I have no idea what she wants. I try to pet her and she shys away, I give her food and she turns up her nose, I try to play with her and she leaves the room until I sit back down and then it's back to the incessant meowing! I think she's trying to prepare me for motherhood and I should just accept it and be grateful.
5. On a more positive note, wasn't Conference wonderful!?!? My testimony of a living prophet has been edified by the opportunity to stand in the Solemn Assembly (even though we were just here at the house in our pajamas) and to listen to Pres. Monson speak and the others who spoke as they testified of his divine calling. My favorite talk was of course the one for young mothers by Elder Ballard. I really needed to hear what he had to say. I feel that many of my prayers were answered by other talks given as well and am anxious to study them more until the next Conference. We are so blessed to live at this time and to have these wonderful leaders to guide us.
So these are my ramblings for now. Hope you all have a wonderful day! Hopefully soon I'll be able to post another prego picture :) I'm showing a lot more now and am torn between feeling really fat and thinking of it as a badge of courage. Anyway, check back later if you'd like to see for yourself, lol!
