Hi all! So I've totally been slacking on this whole blogging thing lately, but thoroughly enjoy reading all of your posts. I'll just give you a quick run down of what's been going on around here so you don't have to listen to all the boring details.
1. The Terry Fator concert was amazing! He was absolutely hilarious and I'm sooo glad that we went! He sang by himself as well as with the "mannequin americans" (as he called them) and interacted with the audience which was super fun. The only down side of the whole night was the lady behind us who I knew was trouble from the moment she sat on my head before the show even started and didn't even notice. She kept sighing through the whole thing and making weird comments at weird times. She also would yell out when the whole theater was quiet. People like that sure keep life interesting, but sometimes they drive me crazy!
2. As I've mentioned before, I'm a pack rat who is trying to de-clutter my house. I'm not sure if this has been brought on by the fact that I'm pregnant and nesting or the fact that we would like to buy a house sometime in the next 6 months. Anyway, I think I need to get out more because I feel like that's all I do all day is go through this or that and throw things away. I'm really hoping for some really nice weather so that I can head outside and tend to the flowerbeds because I don't feel like planting a garden this year since I won't really be wanting to get out there later on. Although we do have onions that have come up because I thought they died last year and I didn't bother to pull them up, so they sprouted up this year...it was quite the surprise.
3. We've decided to take a one time birthing class that will be for 6 hours on a Sat. I'm a little nervous about it because it's so long, but I'm guessing that they will know that I can't sit for that long because it's at the maternity ward of the hospital where the delivery will be taking place. I'm excited for a tour of the place and to see what they have to say. This is definitely an adventure of a lifetime.
4. My cat is driving me CRAZY!!!! She will come sit with me and meow and meow at me for no apparent reason at all. I have no idea what she wants. I try to pet her and she shys away, I give her food and she turns up her nose, I try to play with her and she leaves the room until I sit back down and then it's back to the incessant meowing! I think she's trying to prepare me for motherhood and I should just accept it and be grateful.
5. On a more positive note, wasn't Conference wonderful!?!? My testimony of a living prophet has been edified by the opportunity to stand in the Solemn Assembly (even though we were just here at the house in our pajamas) and to listen to Pres. Monson speak and the others who spoke as they testified of his divine calling. My favorite talk was of course the one for young mothers by Elder Ballard. I really needed to hear what he had to say. I feel that many of my prayers were answered by other talks given as well and am anxious to study them more until the next Conference. We are so blessed to live at this time and to have these wonderful leaders to guide us.
So these are my ramblings for now. Hope you all have a wonderful day! Hopefully soon I'll be able to post another prego picture :) I'm showing a lot more now and am torn between feeling really fat and thinking of it as a badge of courage. Anyway, check back later if you'd like to see for yourself, lol!

ReplyDeleteYou sound like you are doing good! I have been slacking on the blogging too. . .I suppose it will only get worse as summer comes. I usually want to be outside, not inside on the computer. I'm excited to see you in May. . . you'll be so darn cute!
